Yummy...? |
J.Co is a coffee and donut shop you can find at the mega strip at megamall.
He says...
Oh where do I begin? Right off the bat let me tell you: Worst. Donut. Ever.
I'll tell you why.
Sin #1: Almonds on donuts. They dont mix.. at all!
Sin #2: Cheese on donut. Bloody tastes like ensaymada!
Sin #3: Nutella on donuts. I can buy my own nutella and bread, thank you very much!
Sin #4: Nuts on donuts that tastes like the cheap nuts being sold at bus stations in our province. Only worse.
Sin #5: Green Tea flavor on donuts. What the heck were you thinking?!
And Sin #6 worst sin of all: it's in the same price range as Krispy Kreme and Go Nuts!
While eating the donuts, I was just wondering if it was a 6-year old who came up with those flavors.
I can't believe donuts could taste so horrible.. and I've already tasted those cheap bread-pretending-to-be-a-donut.
Regrets. I have them. |
She says...
Horribly sad this binge day was! Never thougt I'd waste more than 600 calories of my daily allowance just for this crappy thing. Really so expensive for a lame tasting doughnuts.
Indeed looks can be deceiving! They all looked so yummy, colorful... so mouth watery but there's nothing more to it.Just an eye candy.
What have I done to deserver this?! |
Oh yes, they've got such fancy names too...
1.Tiramisu- more like coffee powder sprinkled over milky glaze
2.Mr.Green Tea- not a hint of tea, almonds just don't blend in, really just bread with sticky sweet
3.Jacky Chunk- more like peanut brittle...duh!
4. Choconuttzy- nutella filled bread...just that, nothing more. BREAD!If I wanted bread, I'd drop by BreadTalk instead.
5. Don Mochino- Another nutella variant, just now, it's glazed over the bread and whipped cream as filling
6.Alcapone-their "most wanted" is jut the saddest.I love almonds but it just doesn't make this bread even slightly special.
7.J Club Cheese- worst ensymada variant ever!
And the drinks... iced thai tea and iced green tea, they're just the worst drinks ever concocted. I don't like my drinks too sweet, but I don't like it like it bland either!
Never going back to this forsaken place!

wow you're so lucky i'm even commenting on the worst blog ever. dear, please read up on grammar :)
ReplyDeletea food blog is supposed to have CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms on food..read up on that too.
now onto the topic. i have been to j.co and i think its a wonderful franchise. it offers less sweet donuts compared to krispy kreme. but of course, the customer does have a choice to pick his/her preference. almonds and nuts are great with donuts, it has been done for DECADES now. maybe you're not so aware with food history.. the same goes with their other flavors. if it were say, rice on donuts, then id have a problem. HAHA!
if you were SO against some flavors, why did you even bother "wasting" your money on them. i say it's your fault for being so careless
as for the name, you're just plain being negative. has anyone complained about YOUR name? there's no profanity, there's no lame mixed up words. it's fine. let it be.
be it so, it's hard to please everyone especially in the food industry...especially for pointless "critics". i suggest you get a more open mind so other restaurants wont be belittled like this.
their yoghurt is amazing btw
Never heard of almonds on donuts? Where have you been? Even Krispy Kreme and Go Nuts Donuts have them.
ReplyDeleteI wonder...Why become a food blogger when you're mind (and obviously your taste buds) are not open to trying new flavors and combinations? Please also brush up on your grammar it can be rather distracting.
"what have i done to deservER this?"

ReplyDeletenahawa na ako sa wrong grammar
This blog is an eating experience blog, not a "food critic's blog". It's a way to express and memorialize our emotions and thoughts about the foods and places we have tried.
ReplyDeletePerhaps, you are right regarding the existence of Almonds on Donuts prior to J.Co. That makes it worse because it means that almonds on donuts is not the problem, J.Co is. This is not surprising because ALL their donuts were horrible.
For any grammar contention, please elaborate. Remember, typographical error is not grammar.
I can see this has affected you very much. Thanks for commenting, though.
Cheers.
